Style of Combat

'Let's not waste time', Dragontail said impatiently to the Sandviper. The blond woman nodded sternly in return, closed her eyes and grew still with concentration. Slowly, as if in trance, she grasped into the air behind her, a calm and elegant motion. Suddenly she moved forward, so fast, that Dragontail almost missed it and the air around her literally exploded into a dustcloud whirling razorsharp particles at high speed towards the Sandvipers contender. Dragontail reacted instinctively and brought up her scarves just in time to deflect the first wave of the assault. She whirled the cloth so quickly that it became unyielding as a wall and formed an unpentrable shield around herself. As she felt the impact of the deadly sandbeams a smile crept onto her face - finally their combat had begun.
